The journey of Projexel Women Achiever Award began in the year 2019 when Projexel Foundation of
Guwahati
decided to celebrate the spirit of womanhood on the occasion of International Woman’s Day that
year is a
prestigious multidisciplinary award celebrating the outstanding achievements of women. The
endeavor was
christened as ‘PWAA’ to emphasize the inherent unit of life on planet earth.
What was conceived as an event to celebrate the positive spirit of womanhood quickly took the
shape of a small
movement to raise awareness, recognize, honour and salute women in a country presently beset
with prejudice
against women and valuable contribution of all cultures, communities, races, and beliefs, in all
sectors make.
However, it was gratifying to note that notwithstanding the enormity of the challenge facing
them, women
continue to rise up to the challenge and prove themselves worthy of the society in which they
live.
There are many ways to get involved, least of all through making a nomination or sponsoring an
award category.
